Dandelion "coffee" is probably the most common use for the roots of this yard weed. Here's how I make it! Dig up lots of dandelion roots. Wash, remove small lateral roots, cut into small pieces. Dry completely in a dehydrator. Roast dried roots at 350 for 10-15 min, or until dark but not burnt. Grind, and steep into coffee! You can skip the drying part if you want to use them right away.
