Longfield Cemetery in Rocky Top, Tennessee: Final Resting Place for Miners Killed in Fraterville Disaster. May 19, 1902, was a date that will be forever remembered in the Rocky Top (formerly Coal Creek) area of Tennessee. The Fraterville Mine Disaster ended the life of 216 coal miners, leaving scores of widows and children without fathers.
