Jimmy Kimmel has reportedly decided not to compete with Stephen Colbert’s final late night show. The last ever episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is set to air on CBS on Thursday, May 21. LateNighter reports that Kimmel told the site personally that “his ABC show will not produce a new episode next Thursday out of deference to Colbert’s sendoff.
CBS announced its deal with Allen in April, giving him the full 11:35 p.m. hour to air back-to-back episodes of “Comics Unleashed” Mondays through Fridays. Allen will also continue to own the following hour, as his comedy game show “Funny You Should Ask” shifts its schedule.
